Once back on the bus, a short journey takes us to a wine farm set in the heart of the most verdant countryside, among olive groves and rolling hills planted with vines and with a marvelous panoramic view over the towers of San Gimignano (rural Tuscany at its best).
The farm's 100 hectares of land is cultivated by means of organic agriculture, and some of the producta made are wines, extra virgin olive oil, honey and saffron. Here the famous Tuscan Chianina cattle are raised, but special attention is paid to the care of the vineyards, with low yields and the use of organic fertilisers. Meticulous selection of the grapes is done during the harvest, which is performed exclusively by hand, while the final process takes place in the cellars. Here a delicious Tuscan lunch of fresh homemade products is served with a guided tasting of the wines of the region, great for meeting English speaking fellow travellers from around the globe and share your travel experiences. In fact a group that start out as strangers will become friends during lunch and everyone will feel so happy when leaving the farm with glowing cheeks and laughter.
